BIRTHDAY PHOTOSHOOT INSPIRATION: FULL ASOOKE OUTFIT

Hello everyone, I’m back again with another banger lol! It’s the complete asooke set for photoshoots. Before now full asooke set was known to be used for Yoruba traditional weddings and not for anything else probably because of the texture of the asooke fabric which is not very comfortable for most people because some people complain of the fabric weight while some complain that it radiates heat or scratch their bodies but recently it seems there’s a change/shift as lots of gorgeous women now use complete asooke set for photoshoots like birthdays, wedding anniversaries and even church Thanksgiving.

I noticed that most people use the COTTON ASOOKE for the complete set because the cotton asooke is a breathable fabric and skin friendly. Also the mix of beautiful threads colors makes the cotton asooke stunning and gives this stunning cultural yet classy look.

Let’s see some beautiful women in super stunning colors and designs of asooke complete set. And by complete set, I mean the total outfit which is buba( top), iro (wrapper), ipele and gele (headtie):

What do you think about the complete asooke set rave? Will you be rocking it? What colour or design do you prefer?

Please share your thoughts in the comments

2021 Family Photo Shoots

Hello everyone,

Family Photo Shoots has been in existence for a long time, most of our parents homes are filled with beautiful family pictures which we grow up to cherish even when they are no longer here.

Our generation is also keeping the tradition of taking beautiful family portraits in our traditional outfits using exquisite and gorgeous fabrics like laces, asooke, ankara, Atiku cotton fabrics to represent different cultures.

Most families organize family photo shoots to mark special events in the family. Like wedding anniversaries, birthdays of a member of the family, for Christmas, new year or Thanksgiving Celebrations. These family pictures helps to keep memories of the different milestones marked within the family.

I saw some family photos that caught my attention not just because of the color theme but because of the kind of fabrics and also the styles made out of them. Are you planning a family photo shoot and you have no idea on how to go about it? Then take a look at these pictures and draw inspiration from them as you plan a memorable photoshoot for your beautiful family:

THEASO-EBI JUNKIE WEDDING, WEEKEND SPOTLIGHT

THEASOEBIJUNKIE WEEKEND SPOTLIGHT #thebashunion

Hello everyone,

Hope you are enjoying the long holiday if you are in Nigeria and Barka da Sallah to our Muslim community.

Today I’m bringing back your favourite series on this blog #theweekendspoltlight

This is actually the first one this year 🙈 ( check the last one HERE ) but over the weekend, a particular traditional wedding broke our timeline on different social media platforms with the hashtag #thebashunion and this triggered the need to bring back this series.

It was such a beautiful and colorful event with top celebrities and society ladies in attendance.

One striking thing about this wedding is that they didn’t choose any fabric as asoebi but they only made a uniform asooke for their party guests as asooke asoebi and it was beautiful.

Like I normally say here even though I’m a fabric vendor, when you want to choose asoebi always consider your guests. If a uniform gele be it #segogele or asooke will be perfect and affordable then it’s okay. You don’t have to use or sell fabrics as asoebi.

In this case , their party guests are high class ladies so money is not even a factor and most of these wealthy folks even give out asoebi for FREE. But it could be due to time frame because manufacturing and shipping fabrics in large quantity takes like a month to 6weeks that’s for air freight but asooke is made locally and it will be faster to get and distribute.

So choose whatever works for you and make it easy for your guests . You can choose affordable fabrics of great quality as asoebi or you can choose quality asooke gele or Sego gele for your asoebi or just pick a color code. Remember the most important thing is to have your guests honour you with their presence at your party.

Now let’s see the beautiful party guests we spotted at #thebashunion last weekend in their lemon green or Chartreuse color asooke gele asoebi:

First of the gorgeous couple ( Dara and Tosin) in all white looking super stunning

Then in their asooke traditional outfit ( Did you notice they are wearing different but complementary colors)

Now to the party guests in fabulous fabrics with the asooke :

Then some other party guests in different gorgeous designs without the asoebi gele but still caught our attention as they are spectacular in different colors also:

What do you think about #thebashunion traditional wedding? Share your thoughts in the comments section and will you use only asooke gele as asoebi for your party? Let me know why.

Cheers,

Modupe

THEASOEBIJUNKIE WEDDING – #JR2017

Hello everyone,

We will not allow the month of love(February) to end without sharing beautiful pictures from the wedding of our #christmas couple.

The bride as being an amazing customer for about two years (or more), so when she contacted us that she was getting married, I was so excited. She chose coral red and teal green for her wedding theme, so we stated with her aso-ebi fabric and I sent her options that fit into her color theme/budget and in a short while we sealed the asoebi deal. She’s the calmest bride ever! Then we moved to family fabrics and we sealed that too as well as fabrics for her own outfits, asooke and sego headtie (s) and the native handfan for delta brides.

Let’s see these fabrics in pictures as we celebrate this amazing couple displaying so much love at their traditional wedding.

Bride’s first outfit – Fabric and headtie from us

She slayed stylishly in our teal green tulle lace embellished with pearls and stones matched with our beaded sego headtie

Here she steps out with her boo in her second outfit which I really love because she allowed me style her in champagne gold monotone combo.

Fabric is champagne gold George with matching tulle blouse.

Headtie was champagne gold asooke fully embellished with Swarovski stones and gold pearls

Handfan was also embellished with stones (we had to go all out for our bride)

Here is our pretty bride with her brothers in Atiku and teal green asooke caps also styled by us

Now to the asoebi Fabrics, her female friends and colleagues turned up in this colorful yet classy/beautiful tulle lace with white sego gele that blends perfectly into her color theme and also makes you think of Christmas while the male counterparts wore white Atiku with coral red caps. All supplied by us!

I really wished we got more pictures of the asoebi Fabrics but from the few we got, we have no doubt that everyone slayed in different gorgeous designs.

We appreciate the couple for choosing us to style them and their amazing families and guests on their big day.

We pray that God bless their home and that their love for each other abound forever.

Thanks again for choosing Theasoebijunkie.

Hello everyone,

How are you all doing? Hope you’re preparing for our pop up shop that will be holding this weekend? It will be nice to meet my readers live at the Pop up shop. See more info HERE
Date: 2nd and 3rd of July 2016
Venue: Safat’s place – 12, Odunuga street off Osho street Opebi Lagos
Time: 10 am to 7pm

Back to today’s post, I am again excited to bring our Star bride to be to you in person of Miss Omolara.

Beautiful Omolara contacted us requesting for a beautiful and affordable fabric for her introduction ceremony which is a ‘pre-traditional  wedding’ ceremony in Nigeria where families of intending couples meet with each other to make plans for the wedding of their children. I must say its a big deal here!

So you know she has to look her best as she will be the cynosure of all eyes and will be meeting some of her groom’s extended family members for the first time.
We sent options to her as per fabrics, color and Accessories combinations. And she finally settled for the peach on peach with gold accessories which turned out so beautiful and elegant.
Her boo also got a cream fabric with the peach asooke and they both slayed!

Let’s see the evidence in pictures from the introduction ceremony:

THEASO-EBI JUNKIE WEDDING, THEASOEBIJUNKIE STARS

THEASOEBIJUNKIE STARS: ADEFUNMI2016

Hello everyone,

It is my delight to bring our amazing #theasoebijunkiestarcouple to you as they rocked theasoebijunkie asooke on their big day.

Our bride- Now Mrs Adeleke made it clear that she wanted a unique and gorgeous design of asooke for the traditional wedding and not the regular hand-cut buba but something easy breezy that will be airy and not so heavy.

So we decided to make a tiny interlace hand cut buba in champagne gold with patches of orange and neon green to represent her color theme with lots of blings scattered on it.
The wrapper was a plain champagne gold asooke but we also joined the tiny inter lace handcut to the lower part which turned out so beautiful.
Because the buba and wrapper had a burst of colors, we decided to tone it down with a plain white head-tie and ipele embellished with gold stones and pearls which the bride slayed stylishly on her big day.

The groom also looked regal in his  champagne gold agbada with white embroidery design and champagne gold cap.

Theasoebijunkie brand is so proud of the final outcome of the couple’s attire and we are grateful to be part of your big day!

Now let’s see the amazing pictures from Ripples Photography:
