Every year in African fashion, a particular color tend to dominate the scene. Even though Pantone releases the color of the year, when it comes to fashion in Nigeria colors of the year tend to take a different turn because we are a whole VIBE as a people and just one color will not be enough for us because we love to explore and “play” with colors a lot.
So some colors (not just one) rule our African fashion scene every year. As a fabric vendor, I deal with lots of customers making orders for retail/individual and asoebi/bulk orders . This is actually my first post in 2019 ( covers face) and the year is half gone already. Let me just say I just got out of #writersblock because I keep trying to bring content here but some issues either from business or family will take up my time and I kept postponing.

MILK FIBRE LACE is so similar to guipure but it’s lighter than guipure on the body and so soft on the skin.
I personally love this fabric because it’s versatile and beautiful. It feels light but of a good density and quality.

When I made a post on Ankara with guipure edges HERE, I made mention of another twist to the Ankara fabric which is the mixing of Ankara with organza net lace.
The Ankara with organza lace fabric is absolutely gorgeous and versatile! If you want to stand out amongst others, then this is your go to fabric as you do not need extra embellishments or appliques to slay any style you wish to make from this fabric. Personally, I will recommended that you use this fabric for the ever green top and wrapper (iro/buba) , peplum top and skirt or a boubou for that simple and chic look which depicits the adage that ‘less is truly more’.
