NEW SENSATION: ANKARA WITH GUIPURE EDGES

Hello my lovelies,

Over the time, lots of designers and fashionistas like to add a twist or try to tweak the evergreen Ankara fabric by mixing it with another fabric to create a more sophisticated look or design.
Ankara print or wax have been mixed with plain satin, plain crepe, Chantilly lace and recently with guipure and tulle laces.

And I think this made fabric manufacturers to upgrade the Ankara print from production by making this new sensation in the fabric market- Embroidered Ankara with guipure edges!
There is another one made with the mixture of Ankara and organza lace ( very gorgeous fabric) and I will be sharing more on that in a separate post so if you are not following this blog yet, kindly do so in other to be notified when that post comes up.

When our fabric company sent these pictures to me, I was ecstatic and fell in love with the blend of two fabrics in one and particularly the color mix #fabulous.

I will definitely pick one of these for myself and make a style post.

I can imagine all kinds of stylish designs a good designer will make out of this fabric because it appears so versatile. You can use to make a simple yet chic boubou or a drop dead gorgeous peplum top and flared skirt or better still a shift dress even the old/ever relevant Iro  and buba will make heads turn.

I hope someone will order one of these as Asoebi for their next event in order to see variety of designs party guests will make out of it matching it with a plain sego gele.

Am so excited!!! I woke up today and checked the blog statistics only to find out that we have reached the One million blog views milestone! Whoop!

Its a big deal to me people , and am overwhelmed! I started this as a hobby because my job at the time I started was so time consuming and I just love fabrics, the Nigerian Asoebi culture and African fashion in general so I decided to start writing about it 3 years ago to keep my dream alive and now we have over a million views #overwhelmed

THEASOEBIJUNKIE STAR : MRS JOHNNY

Hello fabulous people,

Today’s post is dedicated to one of my favorite customers –  Mrs Titi Johnny.

She is indeed a star!  Aunty Titi has I refer to her stays in Canada.  She found Theasoebijunkie brand online through our Instagram page and has since bought a lot of fabrics from us and has also referred me to some of her friends in Canada.

I think I posted some pictures on our instagram page of a white lace she and a friend of hers bought for her church garment.

And last year, she sent me a message that she likes our Fuschia Pink heavily beaded tulle lace fabric and made payment for us to deliver.

Little did I know that she was pregnant and it was for her child naming ceremony. 
I was over the moon when I saw the pictures on her page and requested to allow me do a post with them.
