BIRTHDAY PHOTOSHOOT INSPIRATION: FULL ASOOKE OUTFIT

Hello everyone, I’m back again with another banger lol! It’s the complete asooke set for photoshoots. Before now full asooke set was known to be used for Yoruba traditional weddings and not for anything else probably because of the texture of the asooke fabric which is not very comfortable for most people because some people complain of the fabric weight while some complain that it radiates heat or scratch their bodies but recently it seems there’s a change/shift as lots of gorgeous women now use complete asooke set for photoshoots like birthdays, wedding anniversaries and even church Thanksgiving.

I noticed that most people use the COTTON ASOOKE for the complete set because the cotton asooke is a breathable fabric and skin friendly. Also the mix of beautiful threads colors makes the cotton asooke stunning and gives this stunning cultural yet classy look.

Let’s see some beautiful women in super stunning colors and designs of asooke complete set. And by complete set, I mean the total outfit which is buba( top), iro (wrapper), ipele and gele (headtie):

What do you think about the complete asooke set rave? Will you be rocking it? What colour or design do you prefer?

Please share your thoughts in the comments

2021 Family Photo Shoots

Hello everyone,

Family Photo Shoots has been in existence for a long time, most of our parents homes are filled with beautiful family pictures which we grow up to cherish even when they are no longer here.

Our generation is also keeping the tradition of taking beautiful family portraits in our traditional outfits using exquisite and gorgeous fabrics like laces, asooke, ankara, Atiku cotton fabrics to represent different cultures.

Most families organize family photo shoots to mark special events in the family. Like wedding anniversaries, birthdays of a member of the family, for Christmas, new year or Thanksgiving Celebrations. These family pictures helps to keep memories of the different milestones marked within the family.

I saw some family photos that caught my attention not just because of the color theme but because of the kind of fabrics and also the styles made out of them. Are you planning a family photo shoot and you have no idea on how to go about it? Then take a look at these pictures and draw inspiration from them as you plan a memorable photoshoot for your beautiful family:

THEASOEBIJUNKIE STARS: ADEFUNMI2016

Hello everyone,

It is my delight to bring our amazing #theasoebijunkiestarcouple to you as they rocked theasoebijunkie asooke on their big day.

Our bride- Now Mrs Adeleke made it clear that she wanted a unique and gorgeous design of asooke for the traditional wedding and not the regular hand-cut buba but something easy breezy that will be airy and not so heavy.

So we decided to make a tiny interlace hand cut buba in champagne gold with patches of orange and neon green to represent her color theme with lots of blings scattered on it.
The wrapper was a plain champagne gold asooke but we also joined the tiny inter lace handcut to the lower part which turned out so beautiful.
Because the buba and wrapper had a burst of colors, we decided to tone it down with a plain white head-tie and ipele embellished with gold stones and pearls which the bride slayed stylishly on her big day.

The groom also looked regal in his  champagne gold agbada with white embroidery design and champagne gold cap.

Theasoebijunkie brand is so proud of the final outcome of the couple’s attire and we are grateful to be part of your big day!

Now let’s see the amazing pictures from Ripples Photography:

Theasoebijunkie star🌟 : Wunmi

Hiya my fabulous people,

Today, am bringing to you yet another star in our fabric.

Miss Wunmi got in touch with us through Bbm and asked for a beautiful tulle lace fabric for her introduction ceremony.
For those who don’t know, the Nigerian weddings ceremonies generally consist of 3basic steps /events. The first one is called the introduction ceremony mainly by Yorubas some other tribes in Nigeria call it “knocking of the door ” this event is like a mini engagement ceremony where the groom comes to the bride’s house with his immediate family and introduce himself formally to the bride’s family stating his intention to marry their daughter with some gifts for the bride’s family .

It is at this event that the dowry and every other requirements  of the bride’s family will be discussed and the main engagement and wedding date is picked.
So this was the event that our star-Wunmi was planning for and you know she definitely needs to slay stylishly as the  star of the day.
She finally settled for our cobalt blue  and champagne gold tulle fabric with guipure edges and she did look super  gorgeous as you can see in the pictures below :

LOOM ASOOKE

Hello Gorgeous People,
Today’s post is about the ancient and very famous Asooke fabric.
The Asooke fabric is known all over the world and has been infused into contemporary fashion by various fashion designers.
It’s is locally woven here in Nigeria and some other parts of Africa in fact we now have Asooke fabrics from China! You know the Chinese people can produce or replicate anything in the world but when it comes to the Asooke fabric, the best is from our local African weavers.

The regular Asooke that we know normally come in stripes. A set of Asooke has 8 stripes in the pack which can be used to make gele, ipele (for a woman) and one or two caps (for a man).
Three stripes of the set is stitched together to make one gele (Head gear), four stripes is stitched together to make one ipele (for the shoulder) and the remaining one will make a cap or two depending on the length of the Asooke.
The regular length of  Asooke is 90 inches and each stripe width is about  4inches.

But now the fashion world is improving and evolving all over the world and the Asooke fabric is not left out hence my post today on the LOOM ASOOKE.

Its a new dimension of weaving Asooke fabric which a lot of  people do not know about. The Loom Asooke is woven straight into the gele (headgear) size which means you don’t need to stitch 3stripes together like I explained earlier. Its just like ready to wear!
And also the ipele is made straight into the normal size, no stitching/joining involved.

The loom Asooke is the rave of the moment for those who know and it can be made as plain, multicoloured, metallic ,soge or even onjawu.
You can also ‘spice ‘ it up by applying blings on it or tack some beads or sequence on it in various design as a bride or party guests.

Let’s look at some samples of the loom Asooke and don’t forget to call/WhatsApp 07033040834 or send a mail to theasoebijunkie@gmail.com to place orders for your Loom Asooke for personal use and party Asoebi quantity in whatever color or combination.
