My Sequined Ankara Top

Hello everyone,

I was going through my draft posts and I saw this post of one of my favorite top about 3years ago😊

As I was about to press the delete button on my key board, my inner man was like Hol’ up ! Just share it.

It doesn’t matter if it’s an old post (oldie yet Goldie) , the style of the top is still Beautiful and it might just inspire someone who has 2yards Ankara fabric laying down somewhere to sew exact style or something better drawing inspiration from the post.

MY BIRTHDAY PHOTOSHOOT

Hello everyone,

Good to be back! Remember my last post HERE was my annual birthday sales and I will like to say a big thank you to everyone that brought Fabrics from us during the sales period.

So I had a photoshoot for the first time in my life *covers face* and it really feels good having cameras in my face 😂😂. So I might make this a regular thing for my birthdays because life is worth celebrating.

For my photo shoot, I used two Fabrics (lace and Ankara).

The multicolored guipure lace which is of high quality is sold out now and was 30,000 Naira for 5yards. I wanted a boubou style out of and my tailor did justice to that. I felt really good and free in the boubou.

The second Fabric is a multicolored Ankara Fabric which is still available in 2 color mix and it’s just 5,000 Naira for 6yards. I didn’t use the whole 6yards because I made a shift dress with wide sleeves (really love the style) and my kids made use of the remaining fabric.

Both Fabrics looked amazing on my skin tone ,my braids were styled and my makeup artist did beat my face that I couldn’t recognize myself Lol

ANKARA ASOEBI #FAAJI2018

Hello my beautiful readers,

Last weekend was the multicultural traditional wedding of the Son of Oyo state Governor Senator Ajimobi (Idris Ajimobi) and Daughter of Kano state Governor Ganduje (Fatima Ganduje)

Immediately I saw it in the news, I developed interest and stalked their hashtag FAAJI2018 which was indeed a display of the Hausa and Yoruba cultures ranging from the bride’s hausa costume,Asooke, Durban horses, royal event theme, henna night and so many beautiful and magnificent expose of the richness of our diversity in Nigeria.

Another aspect which is my major interest is the asoebi. Because this is a society wedding and both parents are politicians, I was expecting that the event will be filled with a sorts of Swiss laces as asoebi but to my pleasant surprise, I saw their beautiful guests slaying in colorful Ankara fabrics. OMG!!! To say I was elated will be an understatement.

Remember few weeks back HERE, I made a post on Ankara aso-ebi. And I was trying to show you how your guests can slay stylishly in Ankara fabrics at budget friendly rates.

So when I saw that # FAAJI2018 was filled with mainly Ankara designs, I was excited because this shows that you can use Ankara fabric aso-ebi for your event not just because you have a low budget but because you just want to appreciate and give you event that Naija or African Vibe.

Casual TOPS X Ankara bottoms

Hi my lovelies, 

Welcome to August! Sometimes ago I  did a post  HERE on  Staples that we should have when it comes to native wears in our wardrobe/closet.
