To create a distinct look for our intending brides, we take into consideration a whole lot particularly fabrics and design.
As the creative director, I strongly believe that the beauty of a master piece is lies in the “distinct factor”. What is that one design or fabric that won’t be seen just everywhere.
This is the value Je’siu brand is offering to her intending brides. Comfortable and Unique pieces to present our intending brides as queens on their big day.
Nigeria has over 250 tribes and 6 geopolitical zones. There are 7 major tribes in Nigeria which are all represented in this collection.
This collection seeks to inspire intending brides on how they can be in their traditional pieces and still appear modern.

In addition, we are intentional about growing the Made in Nigeria Brand by incorporating modern designs in our uniquely crafted pieces. With these modern pieces, people are encouraged to buy Nigerian tradition pieces abroad and in turn it increases Nigeria’s GDP.
The New Nigeria collection is one that encourages unity in Diversity, in this regard, the creative director the je’siu brand has collaborated with some Nigerian brands to make this collection a reality.

NORTHERN NIGERIAN BRIDES

Sometimes a go I made a post HERE about the Hausa or Northern Nigerian Amariya I shared my thoughts about the beautiful Hausa/Fulani rich culture displayed at their weddings which is quite unique from other traditional weddings in Nigeria.

Over the years, the Amariya or Northern Nigerian brides have evolved in their fashion/style for their big day and I felt I should make another post on this.

In as much as we all know that Hausa especially the Fulani ladies are conservative but we can’t ignore how stunning they look naturally. Have you met some Shuwa Arab ladies?? OMG! They are super gorgeous.

Their smooth and shiny skin either dark or light, their long and soft sometimes curly hair , their love for perfumes and incense ( they love to smell nice)😉 are some of the attributes of the Northern Nigerian ladies.

They spend a lot of money on their hair/skin especially on natural skin care products from Arab countries and some parts of Nigeria ( Maiduguri in particular) where they have local spas that you can treat your skin with natural herbs at low costs.

When getting married, the northern Nigerian wedding is more of a festival especially for the bride.

The display of culture from the outfits to the makeup, henna, exquisite gold jewelry, unique veils is amazingly beautiful.
Since this is our focus on today’s post, grab your popcorn and check out these beautiful pictures of stunning Northern Nigerian brides and let me know what you think in the comments section:

ANKARA JUNKIE, ASO-EBI INSPIRATION, WEEKEND SPOTLIGHT

ANKARA ASOEBI #FAAJI2018

Hello my beautiful readers,

Last weekend was the multicultural traditional wedding of the Son of Oyo state Governor Senator Ajimobi (Idris Ajimobi) and Daughter of Kano state Governor Ganduje (Fatima Ganduje)

Immediately I saw it in the news, I developed interest and stalked their hashtag FAAJI2018 which was indeed a display of the Hausa and Yoruba cultures ranging from the bride’s hausa costume,Asooke, Durban horses, royal event theme, henna night and so many beautiful and magnificent expose of the richness of our diversity in Nigeria.

Another aspect which is my major interest is the asoebi. Because this is a society wedding and both parents are politicians, I was expecting that the event will be filled with a sorts of Swiss laces as asoebi but to my pleasant surprise, I saw their beautiful guests slaying in colorful Ankara fabrics. OMG!!! To say I was elated will be an understatement.

Remember few weeks back HERE, I made a post on Ankara aso-ebi. And I was trying to show you how your guests can slay stylishly in Ankara fabrics at budget friendly rates.

So when I saw that # FAAJI2018 was filled with mainly Ankara designs, I was excited because this shows that you can use Ankara fabric aso-ebi for your event not just because you have a low budget but because you just want to appreciate and give you event that Naija or African Vibe.

Let’s see some of the pictures from # FAAJI2018 :
