Hey lovelies,

Last year turbans made a terrific come back into the Nigerian fashion scene and it became a ‘rave’. I remember some 20yrs back when my mum use to rock the turban fabric as headtie on Ankara dresses. Then she had the stripped and multicolored long velvet turbans that was like a scarf and you have to wrap it around your head for that elegant look. Now the new turban/ headers are easy to wear  because it’s sewn into a cap shape and all you need to  do is wrap the ‘tail’ part round and you are good to slay and pepper dem!

Also these headwraps have been twisted a bit to fit into our current fashion ‘taste’ and loads of party guests who can’t handle the stress of tying gele now opt for the turbans. They now come in different gorgeous designs and colors made from all sorts of beautiful fabrics and not just velvet fabrics. And are super comfortable (which is a very important factor in fashion).

The turban is now an essential part of your native wear wardrobe and can be worn on all kinds of outfits to create an elegant look especially on a bad hair day.  Every woman needs a turban!

Let’s see some amazing samples that caught my eyes on Instagram :

Have a great day ahead.

Hello my fabric lovers,

Its the end of the month of October and we are moving into a new month-November and I am definitely excited about this as I smell Christmas already !

Talking about Christmas, there are 3 Projects that we at Theasoebijunkie normally get involved in around this time every year which are – The Textile Fair Lagos, Lets clothe a kid and our annual fabric hampers sale but this Christmas we will be having just the Lets clothe a kid project and also sell our fabric hampers while the Textile Fair Lagos will not be holding due to logistics reasons and some other projects which we have been working on to make our brand serve you better that we will be unfolding to you all in a couple of weeks.

So beautiful people, as we did last year we will be collecting NEW FABRICS  to make BRAND NEW CHRISTMAS CLOTHES for less privileged kids from next month and we also need volunteer fashion designers/tailors that can make beautiful fabrics for free for these kids. More information on that will be up on the blog tomorrow in another post.

Back to our post for today, I will like to show us a new and not so new baby in the world of African laces that is so beautiful and versatile for my special ladies ……

The Floral tulle lace is a soft and high quality  lace made from tulle fabrics with floral embroidery on it.This fabric is a must in every woman’s closet as it gives a girly and elegant look whenever its worn irrespective kind of style or design made from it.

Also for women who want wear same fabric with their princesses/girls, this is the perfect fabric for your Mommy and Me picture as it is always super cool on little girls.

The floral tulle lace could be in a single color or multicolored (I love the multicolored designs), some have petals on the embroidery while some other ones are stoned but which ever you choose will make a stunning outfit if handled by a good tailor. I personally loved the soft feel it has on the skin and the way it glues on the skin is absolutely gorgeous.

Enough of my preaching (lol), lets see the beautiful fabrics in different designs and color mix:

What do you think about floral tulle lace fabrics? And what style will you like to make from it? share your thoughts in the comments section.

If you are drooling over any of these beauties already, do get in touch and we will bring it to your doorsteps. But if its not your in your budget at the moment, I will advise you to start making plans to get one for yourself and your lil diva(s) particularly for the festive season that is so near. Hello everyone, Its been a while!

Today post is about the exquisite and customised red/white tulle lace for the wedding of Adedoyin and Tobi Allen.

The groom’s Sister contacted us for a red/white and black theme Asoebi , so we sent in options and she finally choose one and made deposit for production.
But this was when the foreign exchange policy in Nigeria suddenly changed and sending money to our suppliers can be likened to the biblical pool of Bethsaida,Coupled with continuous rise in dollar rates and some other factors it was a bit challenging. But we pulled through by the grace of God and delivered the fabrics to our clients and their party guests slayed stylishly.

I am extremely grateful to the Allen’s for the opportunity to be part of their big day supplying Asoebi for 100 guests and more orders came in but we had to stop at 100 because of time constraint.
And particularly for their patience when we had delay in delivery due to circumstances beyond us.

The red/white and black color theme was so elegant and sexy!

Here are some of the pictures of part guests in the our beautiful red and white tulle lace embellished with stoned and pearls for your perusal:

And my humble self was also there in my own Asoebi *winks *

Once again, we would like to say huge congratulations to  Mr and Mrs Allen and pray that their home be continually filled with unspeakable joy and everlasting love in Jesus name Amen.
We are very grateful and we do appreciate your patronage.

Happy New Year everyone,
Thank God we made it to 2016! It’s going to be an amazing year for us all in Jesus name.

One of the amazing brides we had the privilege to  style and also supply asoebi for was Mrs Esosa Obaseki who contacted us all the way from New York City, U. S. A for her traditional wedding.

Her asoebi color theme was purple and silver,  so the first thing she ordered was a purple tulle lace fabric embellished with stones for her friends which was delivered to her friends in Lagos and Port Harcourt here in  Nigeria.

After which we had another discussion on her outfit as well as her husband’s outfit for their traditional wedding.
She had a gold color theme in mind,  we exchanged pictures and she later settled for this Gold onjawu asooke with blings on the gele as well as gold Agbada and cap for her husband.

She also wanted a customised gold hand fan for herself which we designed  and in total created a regal look this gorgeous couple on their big day.

I hereby present to you pictures of our  star couple for the month of December 2015 for your perusal:

Massive Congratulations to them and we wish them everlasting conjugal bliss.
Their  home is blessed already and their  stars will keep shining.
