2021 LATEST KAFTAN DESIGNS

Hello everyone,

One thing that is important in fashion is comfort. No matter what you choose to wear at any time, to any event comfort is key!

I basically live by this rule, which is why Kaftans and boubous are one of my favorite outfits. Kaftans and boubous are simple, yet classy and absolutely comfortable.

They give me the easy breezy vibes as well as rich aunty vibes. And also help to hide lots of “fashion sins” irrespective of your body type.

You can wear kaftans to house parties, naming ceremonies, child dedications, birthdays, church services etc

Kaftans and boubous can be made from cotton laces, dry laces, guipure laces, Ankara fabric, adire fabric, sample laces etc.

In this post, I will be showing you pictures of beautiful kaftans that you can replicate and just strut in with so much class and panache to your next event.

which is your favorite kaftan? share your pick with me in the comment section.

THEASOEBIJUNKIE WEDDING – #JR2017

Hello everyone,

We will not allow the month of love(February) to end without sharing beautiful pictures from the wedding of our #christmas couple.

The bride as being an amazing customer for about two years (or more), so when she contacted us that she was getting married, I was so excited. She chose coral red and teal green for her wedding theme, so we stated with her aso-ebi fabric and I sent her options that fit into her color theme/budget and in a short while we sealed the asoebi deal. She’s the calmest bride ever! Then we moved to family fabrics and we sealed that too as well as fabrics for her own outfits, asooke and sego headtie (s) and the native handfan for delta brides.

Let’s see these fabrics in pictures as we celebrate this amazing couple displaying so much love at their traditional wedding.

Bride’s first outfit – Fabric and headtie from us

She slayed stylishly in our teal green tulle lace embellished with pearls and stones matched with our beaded sego headtie

Here she steps out with her boo in her second outfit which I really love because she allowed me style her in champagne gold monotone combo.

Fabric is champagne gold George with matching tulle blouse.

Headtie was champagne gold asooke fully embellished with Swarovski stones and gold pearls

Handfan was also embellished with stones (we had to go all out for our bride)

Here is our pretty bride with her brothers in Atiku and teal green asooke caps also styled by us

Now to the asoebi Fabrics, her female friends and colleagues turned up in this colorful yet classy/beautiful tulle lace with white sego gele that blends perfectly into her color theme and also makes you think of Christmas while the male counterparts wore white Atiku with coral red caps. All supplied by us!

I really wished we got more pictures of the asoebi Fabrics but from the few we got, we have no doubt that everyone slayed in different gorgeous designs.

We appreciate the couple for choosing us to style them and their amazing families and guests on their big day.

We pray that God bless their home and that their love for each other abound forever.

Thanks again for choosing Theasoebijunkie.

If you are a bride and you need our services for traditional bridal styling for any tribe in Nigeria, please send us a mail at theasoebijunkie@gmail.com or call/whatsapp 07033040834 and we will take the stress of you.

Cheers,

MATCHING COLORS FOR ULTRA VIOLET

Hello my beautiful readers,

In my post about the pantone color for the year HERE,  I promised to make a post stating colors that will match the color of the year – ULTRA VIOLET  perfectly incase you want to use it for your event’s asoebi or your event’s color theme.

Here are some colors that you can combine with ultraviolet to get a perfect match :
1. White

If you want a subtle ‘feel’ as your theme this year, ultra violet and white is the way to go. This combination will be fabulous as asoebi. Get a white lace fabric plus ultra violet asooke for your guests from us and let them show up in style .

2. Champagne

If you want something elegant, I will advise you choose champagne gold either as your event’s color theme or guests aso-ebi. For asoebi,  ultra violet lace with champagne gold headtie or cap will do the magic

3.Green

If you are a fan of colors and you really want a vibrant theme, then green and ultra violet  will give you that colorful yet unique effect.

For aso-ebi, ultra violet lace fabric plus green gele will do the magic

4. Yellow

For a fabulous color theme, yellow and ultra violet will pop on every skin tone as asoebi and as your color theme in 2018

5. Red

Another ‘ hot’ combination is ultraviolet and red. For aso-ebi, red lace fabric with ultraviolet gele will make your guest appear super sexy. And if you want a sexy theme,  red and ultra violet  will be perfect this year.

6. Pink

Pink and ultra violet is just so ‘girly’.  I love the combo and you can either use hot pink for #loud effect or baby pink for a #subtleandsexy effect.

For aso-ebi, I will advise a baby pink fabric and ultra violet gele or cap.

7. Lilac

This is a very classy combination. Lilac and ultra violet will be  beautiful as your event’s color theme or guest’s aso-ebi.

For asoebi, ultraviolet fabric and Lilac gele will make heads turn.

8. Silver

Ultra violet and silver will give you the #lessismore effect.

For aso-ebi, silver fabric and ultra violet gele will be fab.

9. Orange

If you want all things bright and beautiful, ultra violet and orange is the way to go.

For aso-ebi, ultra violet fabric and orange headtie or cap will make your guests slay stylishly.

10. Gold

Finally, Gold! For that rich and sophisticated look, let your guests slay in this combination of asoebi. It will also be beautiful if you choose this combination as your event’s color theme

For more information on color combinations  see a detailed post HERE for options that can help you with the best combinations.

But if you want a more detailed information or consultation on choosing color theme or combining colors for your event and asoebi you can send us a mail at theasoebijunkie@gmail.com or call/whatsapp 07033040834

ASO-EBI INSPIRATION, TREND ALERT

PANTONE COLOR OF THE YEAR 2018 – ULTRA VIOLET

Lovely day to you all,  as our custom every year we bring to you the forecast color by Pantone which most times is the color that trend all through the year in the fashion world.

So if you’re having your wedding this year and you are still trying to choose a color theme, Pantone says Ultraviolet is the go to color for 2018.

According to Pantone, Ultraviolet is ” A dramatically provocative and thoughtful purple shade, PANTONE 18-3838 Ultra Violet communicates originality, ingenuity, and visionary thinking that points us toward the future.

Color of the Year 2018 - Quote from Lee Eiseman

Complex and contemplative, Ultra Violet suggests the mysteries of the cosmos, the intrigue of what lies ahead, and the discoveries beyond where we are now. The vast and limitless night sky is symbolic of what is possible and continues to inspire the desire to pursue a world beyond our own”.

Enigmatic purples have also long been symbolic of counterculture, unconventionality, and artistic brilliance. Musical icons Prince, David Bowie, and Jimi Hendrix brought shades of Ultra Violet to the forefront of western pop culture as personal expressions of individuality. Nuanced and full of emotion, the depth of PANTONE 18-3838 Ultra Violet symbolizes experimentation and non-conformity, spurring individuals to imagine their unique mark on the world, and push boundaries through creative outlets.

Historically, there has been a mystical or spiritual quality attached to Ultra Violet. The color is often associated with mindfulness practices, which offer a higher ground to those seeking refuge from today’s over-stimulated world. The use of purple-toned lighting in meditation spaces and other gathering places energizes the communities that gather there and inspire connection.

In our next post, we will be listing other colors that can match ultra violet perfectly for your asoebi color combination or for your event color theme.
