I have a 7, years old guipure lace that is still as classy today as it was when I got it years back. I just need to revamp with beautiful accessories and matching color of headtie and I’m good to go. It’s a good fabric to buy and it’s perfect for iro and buba, kaftans, boubou and A-line dresses. It gives the “rich aunty vibes” any time and any day. 2021 ASOEBI DESIGNS WITH DRAMATIC SLEEVES

Hi everyone,

As we all know, fashion they say keep evolving and despite the pandemic the creative juice of fashion designers keep flowing especially our Nigerian fashion designers who are constantly stepping up their game in terms of creating unique asoebi styles for party guests .

One thing I have noticed recently is that fashion designers now put extra efforts on or should I say “play” more with the sleeves of their recent designs to give their clients jaw dropping outfits

They sew a basic fitted dress for asoebi and then create some drama on the sleeves which immediately switch the dress from zero to 100%.

We must also note that these dramatic sleeves design {in my opinion} is not for every BODY FRAME, because some can be overpowering and appear overwhelming on some body shapes which at the end of day make you look like a drag queen.

For instance, someone with a petite stature might appear smaller if the sleeves on her outfit are too bogus while another person with a bigger body frame will make heads turn in the same dress.

In view of this, I will advise that before you try out these beautiful designs with dramatic sleeves make sure you seek your designer’s opinion.

 And in case you want to replicate any of the asoebi designs I will be showing you in this post, make sure it is perfect for your body frame.

2019 WEDDING COLOR: ORANGE

It’s almost the end of the year and there are loads of parties happening every weekend especially weddings.

And like I mentioned in my last “2019 wedding color” 👉HEREwhere I wrote about emerald green, some colors are always dominant in Nigeria every year especially during the party season. So our focus today is on the ORANGE COLOR.

Orange they say is the new black! And this bright and bold color has become a classic like black and it’s now a popular asoebi color. 2019 WEDDING COLOR: EMERALD GREEN

Every year in African fashion, a particular color tend to dominate the scene. Even though Pantone releases the color of the year, when it comes to fashion in Nigeria colors of the year tend to take a different turn because we are a whole VIBE as a people and just one color will not be enough for us because we love to explore and “play” with colors a lot.
