Hello people,

How are you all doing? hope we are preparing well as we step into the “love week”?

Lets endeavor to spread love around this valentine season because the world needs more love at this time and we should not just restrict it to lovers only.

Today, in the mood of spreading love i will be posting beautiful pictures of couples from different part of Nigeria wearing traditional outfits showcasing their cultures on their traditional wedding day.

These pictures will also inspire 2021 intending couples trying to make a decision on the kind of outfits to wear on their big day.

If you are Nigerian, which of these pictures represents your culture? let me know in the comment section and let’s celebrate the unity in our diversity #ONE NIIGERIA

Regards,

THEASOEBIJUNKIE STAR: OMOLARA

Hello everyone,

How are you all doing? Hope you’re preparing for our pop up shop that will be holding this weekend? It will be nice to meet my readers live at the Pop up shop. See more info HERE
Date: 2nd and 3rd of July 2016
Venue: Safat’s place – 12, Odunuga street off Osho street Opebi Lagos
Time: 10 am to 7pm

Back to today’s post, I am again excited to bring our Star bride to be to you in person of Miss Omolara.

Beautiful Omolara contacted us requesting for a beautiful and affordable fabric for her introduction ceremony which is a ‘pre-traditional  wedding’ ceremony in Nigeria where families of intending couples meet with each other to make plans for the wedding of their children. I must say its a big deal here!

So you know she has to look her best as she will be the cynosure of all eyes and will be meeting some of her groom’s extended family members for the first time.
We sent options to her as per fabrics, color and Accessories combinations. And she finally settled for the peach on peach with gold accessories which turned out so beautiful and elegant.
Her boo also got a cream fabric with the peach asooke and they both slayed!

Let’s see the evidence in pictures from the introduction ceremony:

Again, I will like to say massive congratulations to Miss Omolara and her boo. Your home is blessed and your star will continue to shine. I love you!

Her mum also got a tulle lace from us.
Looking forward to styling you for your traditional wedding and friend’s Asoebi soon.

Cheers,

Modupe

P.s: Don’t forget to turn up at our pop up shop this weekend.

LOVE LOOKS LIKE US

LOVE LOOKS LIKE US

Hiya,
Hope your weekend was party filled? I have been so busy preparing for the TEXTILE FAIR LAGOS!

Am so excited about this second edition because its going to be much more bigger and better than the first one. So if you are in Lagos or will be in Lagos on the 27th of June 2015, please join us at Dehall events place beside Alausa shopping mall Ikeja and experience #fabricorgasm lol.
More details about the fair will be up in subsequent posts.

I get series of mails from brides-to be on how to combine colors for their traditional wedding in a way that both their outfit and that of their grooms will compliment each other perfectly especially when the colors of the bride’s outfit is too feminine and the groom is just the type that hate colors or a groom that will never wear anything loud but the usual monochrome(black and white) combo.

In view of this challenge, I have decided to start a new series tagged ‘ LOVE LOOKS LIKE US’ where I will be showcasing different brides and grooms in their traditional wedding outfits from different tribes in order to inspire and help you choose the right color combination together with your Man.
After which you can now proceed to choosing fabrics(thats where i come in .lol) that will make you command the attention of everyone on your Big day.
To contact me for your traditional wedding outfit fabrics, please call/whatsapp 07033040834 or send a mail to theasoebijunkie@gmail.com.

Now lets see the pictures of some gorgeous couple in trad wedding outfit declaring to everyone that love looks like them:
