SHINE BRIGHT LIKE DIAMONDS

Hello everyone,

Welcome to September, it’s a very special month for me because it’s my birth month and I also get to celebrate a special event in my life as well.

So in my celebration mood, am going to make more of fun- like posts this month because am happy. lol

Today, am going to focus on an amazing fabric for celebrants and wedding guests: THE SEQUINED LACE FABRIC.

This fabric is a type of lace fabric that is adorned with sequence all over or sometimes at the edges. Ranging from guipure to tulle, voile, etc, the sequined lace gives you that dazzling effect that makes you stand out in all occasions especially at night/ dinner parties.

This fabric can be used to make second outfit for brides, birthday dress, dinner gowns, prom dresses and even iro and buba.

When you want to purchase sequined fabrics be very careful and try as much as possible to buy quality over quantity because when you buy the cheap fabrics, the sequence tends to pull off the lace as you wash them and can also get scrawled.

Also note that the sequined fabrics are better to be washed inside out with your washing machine and ironing should be done inside out as well.

DO NOT PLACE HOT IRON ON A SEQUINED FABRIC, unless you want to melt all the sequence away.

In my usual manner, i present to you these stylish women in different attires made from the sequined lace fabric:

O sparkles! (In Jenifa’s voice)

If you have an event coming up soon either as a guest or celebrant and you want to make a statement with your style, then the sequined lace fabric is the way to go.

So go ahead, dazzle them as you shine bright like diamonds.

TREND ALERT

TREND ALERT: MULTI-COLORED ASOOKE

Hello all,

The weekend is almost here and we are getting ready for the next owambe. But before then I will like to alert us on a new trend in the ‘aso-ebi industry’.

This new trend for Brides and Wedding guests is the MULTI-COLORED ASO -OKE!

The fabric is the same aso-oke fabric in different colors (2 colors, 3 colors or even 4 colors) merged together to create a perfect blend.

This new rave is absolutely beautiful and trendy, the color variation of the fabric exudes class, elegance and sophistication.

You can also use this multi-colored aso-oke for baby dedication/christening or even as your Sunday’s best attire to worship the King Of kings.

Below are beautiful multi colored aso-oke used as gele (headgear) and ipele for your peusal:

2014 WEDDING COLORS

2014 WEDDING COLORS: PART 2

Hello everyone,

So today’s post is the part 2 of the 2014 wedding colors series.

As i have promised in Part 1  here, i will be showing pictures of trending colors / color combinations to give us fantastic ideas and inspirations.

My post today is going to be based on just one color of which anytime i see it on a bride, i keep falling in love with it over and over again.

And the color is WHITE! Yes nowadays brides tend to dress in an all-white ensemble i.e iro and buba (aso-oke) or sometimes lace fabric and white gele/headgear as well as white accessories.

This combination gives the bride a kind of regal look at the same time makes her appear very sophisticated and chic on her big day.

Here are some pictures of beautiful brides in all white ensemble for you to glance through:

COLOR PALETTES

Hello everyone, Barka da sallah to all my muslim friends and happy holidays.

Previously I did a post on matching color combinations for aso-ebi in which I discuss extensively on how to pick and combine colors for your party outfit. I also listed some colors that you can combine together to achieve a great look, but later discovered that most people do not know these colors and therefore cannot identify them by their names

So I have decided to show us some color palettes with names in order to help us know what each color looks like.

These color palettes would guide and help us in making fast and better decisions as we choose our aso-ebi.
