LASER CUT FABRICS

Hello everyone,

Today I want to introduce another amazing and very versatile fabric that is fast taking over the fashion scene and lots of ladies are making drop dead gorgeous outfits from it- LASER CUT LACE.

Laser cut lace fabric is intricate, elegant and has a classic pattern that makes you stand out in any outfit.

Laser cutting used to be reserved for haute couture designs. But as consumers began lusting for the technique, and the technology was made more readily available to manufacturers, it’s become commonplace to see laser-cut silk and soft leather to make gorgeous lace designs.

There are different types of laser cut designs as shown below :

Laser cut embellished with pearls and stones
Cream plain laser cut lace
plain laser cut lace
Pink plain laser cut lace
Black plain laser cut lace
Cream laser cut lace embellished with pearls and stones
Lilac laser cut lace embellished with pearls and stones
Yellow laser cut lace embellished with pearls and stones
Red laser cut lace embellished with pearls
Cream 3D laser cut lace
Peach 3D laser cut lace

This amazing fabric can be styled into blouse and wrapper, iro and bubble as well as dresses but please get a good tailor or fashion designer to make exquisite designs that will make you slay stylishly.

To order this fabric for yourself or as your event’s asoebi contact us on 2347033040834 or via email at theasoebijunkie@gmail.com.

Have a great week ahead.

LETS CLOTHE A KID THIS CHRISTMAS 2016

Hello my Lovelies,

Welcome to the month of November! Praise God we made it!

Like I mentioned in my post yesterday HERE, I can smell Christmas already and if you go to major markets and stores you will find Christmas trees and ornaments on display for sale signifying that the festive season is so near…….

And this brings us to my post of today on our charity project which we started last year tagged LETS CLOTHE A KID THIS CHRISTMAS which is targeted at putting a smile on less privileged children by giving them NEW clothes for Christmas. I shared how we came about this vision in this POST last year when we launched the project and the response was amazing. We got fabrics from individuals, fabric vendors within and outside Lagos and  a lot of talented designers also made fab clothes which we distributed at motherless babies homes to the glory of God.

2016 Christmas is near and we will like to clothe another set of 100 less privileged kids within Lagos and if possible across the country. To make this dream a reality, we need all the help we can get from individuals and corporate bodies within and outside Nigeria .

We will appreciate donations of-

*BRAND NEW CLOTHING FOR KIDS

*ALL KINDS OF FABRICS

*SERVICE OF FASHION DESIGNERS/TAILORS

Theasoebijunkie as a brand  already have reserved fabrics for this purpose, so volunteer designers can contact us on 07033040834 and we will send fabrics to you immediately.

For more information on how to donate or any other inquiry, kindly call/whats app 07033040834 or send a mail to theasoebijunkie@gmail.com and we will be glad to reply you.

You can also ask questions as well as share your thoughts with us in the comments section.

God bless you.

cheers,

Modupe

FLORAL TULLE LACE

Hello my fabric lovers,

Its the end of the month of October and we are moving into a new month-November and I am definitely excited about this as I smell Christmas already !

Talking about Christmas, there are 3 Projects that we at Theasoebijunkie normally get involved in around this time every year which are – The Textile Fair Lagos, Lets clothe a kid and our annual fabric hampers sale but this Christmas we will be having just the Lets clothe a kid project and also sell our fabric hampers while the Textile Fair Lagos will not be holding due to logistics reasons and some other projects which we have been working on to make our brand serve you better that we will be unfolding to you all in a couple of weeks.

So beautiful people, as we did last year we will be collecting NEW FABRICS  to make BRAND NEW CHRISTMAS CLOTHES for less privileged kids from next month and we also need volunteer fashion designers/tailors that can make beautiful fabrics for free for these kids. More information on that will be up on the blog tomorrow in another post.

Back to our post for today, I will like to show us a new and not so new baby in the world of African laces that is so beautiful and versatile for my special ladies ……

The Floral tulle lace is a soft and high quality  lace made from tulle fabrics with floral embroidery on it.This fabric is a must in every woman’s closet as it gives a girly and elegant look whenever its worn irrespective kind of style or design made from it.

Also for women who want wear same fabric with their princesses/girls, this is the perfect fabric for your Mommy and Me picture as it is always super cool on little girls.

The floral tulle lace could be in a single color or multicolored (I love the multicolored designs), some have petals on the embroidery while some other ones are stoned but which ever you choose will make a stunning outfit if handled by a good tailor. I personally loved the soft feel it has on the skin and the way it glues on the skin is absolutely gorgeous.

Enough of my preaching (lol), lets see the beautiful fabrics in different designs and color mix:

THEASOEBIJUNKIE STAR: OMOLARA

Hello everyone,

How are you all doing? Hope you’re preparing for our pop up shop that will be holding this weekend? It will be nice to meet my readers live at the Pop up shop. See more info HERE
Date: 2nd and 3rd of July 2016
Venue: Safat’s place – 12, Odunuga street off Osho street Opebi Lagos
Time: 10 am to 7pm

Back to today’s post, I am again excited to bring our Star bride to be to you in person of Miss Omolara.

Beautiful Omolara contacted us requesting for a beautiful and affordable fabric for her introduction ceremony which is a ‘pre-traditional  wedding’ ceremony in Nigeria where families of intending couples meet with each other to make plans for the wedding of their children. I must say its a big deal here!

So you know she has to look her best as she will be the cynosure of all eyes and will be meeting some of her groom’s extended family members for the first time.
We sent options to her as per fabrics, color and Accessories combinations. And she finally settled for the peach on peach with gold accessories which turned out so beautiful and elegant.
Her boo also got a cream fabric with the peach asooke and they both slayed!

Let’s see the evidence in pictures from the introduction ceremony:

Style post: Teal Guipure lace

I have been blogging for about 3years now( Yes  Theasoebijunkie blog will be 3years by April! Yipee! )  and a lot of people do not know what I  look like because I barely put up style post or pictures of myself except for my post Here and Here
But today being Mothers Day I decided to take some pictures of my outfit to church as I bless God for giving me the privilege of being a mom to my beautiful angels.

I got this teal guipure lace from Ernst Bosch & Co sometimes last year as a gift to support our first Textile  Fair.
Ernst Bosch &Co KG is a textile manufacturing company based in Austria and they make quality and timeless fabrics.
So I used this beautiful fabric  to make a cape top and wrapper .
For accessories, I wore a teal and silver drop earrings as well as same color of clutch with a teal sandal because I  just wanted a simple&chic look with minimal color mix.

Here are some pictures (phone camera pictures ;))of my outfit for your perusal :
