My love for Nigerian/African traditional wears is just growing by the day, especially prints and one way in which this is well showcased is through our Aso-ebi culture.
I get lots of invites for parties like weddings, burial ceremony of aged ones, birthdays etc .
In Naija(Nigeria) one information that is tagged informally with your invite is the colour and (or) price of the of the Aso-ebi.
Aso-ebi! oh Aso-ebi! my saving grace for constantly updating my native wears wardrobe.
The Aso-ebi bug has caught up with almost everyone both male and female, young and old, cutting across different class, tribe and language in the country.
When organising parties, one of the items on your to do list is the type of Aso-ebi you want your guest to wear on the D-day. So i thought of starting a blog that would dwell mainly on Aso-ebi for different occasions in order to help everyone and anyone planning their owambe!
Posts would include; types of Aso-ebi, how to pick Aso-ebi, how to distribute Aso-ebi effectively among friends and families, souvenirs for Aso-ebi, getting your money on time as well as getting the Aso-ebi to your gusets on time amongst other issues.
And most importantly we get to see loads of Aso-ebi pictures and samples(that’s the part i love).
welcome to the blog of the aso-ebi junkie!!!
